and the Signal Transduction Society (STS) are organizing the 15th
international conference “Signal transduction – receptors, mediators and genes”
to be held in Weimar, Germany, from November 07-09, 2011. This annual
conference attracts approximately 250 participants and 20 industrial exhibitors
each year. Researches from different disciplines including Cell Biology,
Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Immunology discuss common interests in
cellular and organismic signal transduction.
year’s main focus will be on Immune Cell Signaling with a special emphasis on
systems biology of lymphocyte activation. A number of outstanding scientists
have confirmed their participation, including Tony Hunter (USA) (who will be
honored for his outstanding achievements in the field with the STS/CCS Honorary
Medal 2011), Rudi Hendriks (Netherlands), Sankar Ghosh (USA), Ed Palmer
(Basel), Oreste Acuto (UK), Balbino Alarcon (Spain), Wolfgang Schamel (Germany), Riitta Lahesmaa (Finland),
Valeria Poli (Italy), Oliver Fakler (Germany) and Peter ten Dijke
this world-wide unique interdisciplinary meeting will bring together leading
scientists discussing the frontline of signal transduction research.
